Below are the rules to our community. By being active on Warriors Fanfiction Wiki, you agree to abide by our regulations.

Rulebreaking, depending on severity, will result in either a notice or a warning. Infracting the rules repeatedly, ignoring the messages, or refusing to comply with our requests will escalate the level of punishment to a temporary or permanent block from the wiki. Permanent blocks, after six months, may be appealed on the message wall of the admin who blocked you.

As the content of Warriors is child-friendly, our goal here is to make child-friendly fanfictions.

  • Mature content, as defined below, is NOT ALLOWED. Any articles with mature content will be DELETED, unless you have consent from more than half of the ACTIVE admins (those being Brams, Wetty, Stork, & Tilan).
    • ANY form of sexual contact/mating
    • Some cursing is allowed, such as minor cursing, but please put warnings.
    • We ask that you put trigger warnings on controversial content, i.e. topics of suicide, depression, etc.
If you have any questions, please ask a member of the staff.

Articles

Articles are the main portion of content on the wiki. All editors must be logged in before editing.

Do not, under ANY circumstances, plagiarize other works, including works on this wiki and other sites. Cross-posting to here is allowed, as long as it is done by the ORIGINAL author of the work. Plagiarism will not be tolerated, and if it is discovered, the page will be DELETED IMMEDIATELY. The user will receive a block as well.

Fanfictions

A fanfiction is defined as a broadly-defined term for fan labor regarding stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator. (Source: http://www.google.com)

  • This means that all articles regarding Warriors (Clan cats, loners, rogues, kittypets, etc.) must be in the form of a narrative. Any work otherwise will be removed, excluding songfics (fanfictions based on a song).
  • Short stories are allowed.
  • As the definition above also states, all credit for ideas is given to Erin Hunter (Vicky Holmes, Kate Cary, Tui Sutherland, and Cherith Baldry)
  • Anything other than stories about the warrior cats (ex. other religions, stories with no mention of the cats) will be DELETED.
  • Any fanfictions with inappropriate content will be DELETED.
  • Any fanfictions with AI-generated content will be DELETED.
  • Character pages and Clan pages are not allowed, and will be DELETED. Repeat infractions may result in a temporary ban. See this blog post for more info.
  • It is widely accepted that users should only edit their own fanfictions, unless stated otherwise. This is meant to retain author integrity; edits performed by users without approval, including grammar and spelling fixes, will be undone.
    • If you have given another user permission to edit your fanfic, please state so on the top of the page. Otherwise, such changes might be mistaken for rulebreaking and be reverted.
  • If you wish to have additional non-story pages related to a fanfic, such as gelleries, trivia, and allegiances, please subpage those pages under the main fanfic.
  • If a fanfiction is structured so that individual parts (chapters, episodes, and such) are on different pages, those pages should be subpaged under the main page for the fanfic as well.

Songfic

A songfic, as stated above, is a fanfiction based on the lyrics of a song.

  • Any songfics about subjects other than the warrior cats will be DELETED.
  • Any songfics with inappropriate content will be DELETED.
  • Songs with curse words MUST be censored.

Poems

A poem must be based off of the warrior cats, and if it doesn't contain names, must have an explanation somewhere in the article.

  • Any poems about subjects other than the warrior cats will be DELETED.
  • Any poems with inappropriate content will be DELETED.

Guides

Guides are allowed here. They must contain tips on writing warriors fanfiction, or they will be DELETED.

'Crackfics'

'Crackfics', or crack-fanfictions, are meant to be funny. Please keep this in mind.

Quizzes

A quiz is defined as an examination consisting of a few short questions. (Source: http://www.google.com) However, they are not allowed here.

  • Any quizzes will be DELETED.

Roleplays

Roleplays are a popular activity among those in the Warriors community. However, as WFW is dedicated to the writing of fanfiction, these are not allowed on article pages either.

  • Any roleplays on article pages will be DELETED.

Fanfiction Talk Pages/Commenting

Authors work hard on their stories. Please be sure to comment on a story.

  • No flaming, trolling, or vandalizing. If you do, you will be BANNED/WARNED.
  • Comments are meant to critique stories and tell what you like and dislike. Please try to avoid comments saying things like: "Write more pleaseeee!", "So good! Best story ever!", "Wow just perfect," or "LOL! XD".
  • Do not spam comments on stories.
  • Do not ping people to comment on or check out your fanfic unless they have signed up for pings beforehand, is the organiser of a contest to which your fanfic is an entry, or otherwise has requested such a ping. If you want more comments or readers, consider advertising your fanfic in discussions or asking around for a comment trade. Do not ping people who have asked not to be pinged.

For more information on proper commenting, look here[1].

Blogs

Blogs are used by users to communicate updates, important information, and, occasionally, advertise things outside of the wiki.

  • Blogs must remain appropriate for the wiki, under the same discretion as articles.
  • Spam and/or blank blogs will be DELETED as part of housekeeping. This can include blogs whose content consists of spammed letters and more.
  • Advertising of any kind must be approved by an staff. Please contact one of the staff before doing so.
  • While there is no set limit on the amount of blogs per user, excessive posting may result in a temporary ban.

Contests

Sometimes we have contests here on WFW.

  • Any user may host a contest, and you can co-host with fellow users. Please be mindful about the time it takes to run a contest before choosing to make one, we would like not to see unfinished contests cluttering the wiki.
  • Staff approval is not required to create a contest.
  • Timeframes for contests are up to the discretion of the host, but bear in mind the time it takes for users to prepare an entry.
  • Prizes are up to the host's discretion; while often offered, they are not a requirement.
  • You can cancel a contest. We understand sometimes unforeseen circumstances come up and that sometimes contests don't work out due to limited interest.
  • If you participate in a contest and do not finish your entry before the deadline, you can complete it later, put it up for adoption, or have it deleted by one of the staff. We don't want half finished contest stories cluttering the wiki!
  • Please don't be a sore loser if you don't win a contest / do worse than what you thought, there will be other contests which you can enter!
  • While contests are usually for fanfiction, other sorts of contests are also allowed, for example art for a fanfiction cover. In a similar vein, challenges, games, and other interactive events are also permitted. These should usually pertain to Warriors, as we are a Warriors Fanfiction Wiki.
  • An admin will message you if there are issues with your contest. Please be respectful to them if they do so!

Pictures

Pictures are allowed on Warriors Fanfiction Wiki.

  • Any inappropriate pictures will be DELETED.
  • Any AI-generated media will be DELETED.
  • Any pictures abusing copyright laws will be DELETED. This includes character art from Warriors Wiki and Warriors OCs Wiki (see below).
  • Work drawn by other users are considered their art and any art theft (stealing work by others without giving credit) that occurs will result in WARNING/BANNING.
  • Character art from Warriors Wiki and Warriors OCs Wiki is NOT ALLOWED. Any character art from either location will be DELETED unless there is explicit permission to have it here.

  • Article/article talk pages
  • User/user talk pages
  • Blogs

Communication

Discord

User pages and User Talk pages

User pages and user talk pages are places where you can personalize to be your own.

  • User page rules:
    • No inappropriate content
    • No personal information (addresses, phone numbers, etc)
  • User talk page rules:
    • No inappropriate content.
    • No personal attacks (See here for more information).
    • No advertising; if you wish to advertise your fanfic or wiki, please head to discussions. Keep in mind that wiki advertising requires staff permission.
    • Some users have specific rules for their talk pages, such as no art requests. As long as these rules do not contradict our wiki rules or the wider fandom regulations, you are expected to respect their wishes when messaging.
    • Please put ALL new messages at the BOTTOM of the page.
    • Leave your signature after every message you make.

Signatures

Signatures have the ability to be personalized, and should be kept appropriate for the wiki.

  • Include a link to your talk page.

Discussions

When using the WFW Discussions threads, we ask that you keep these rules in mind:

  • Standard wiki rules apply, which means no trolling, vandalising, copyright infringement, or anything else that may break the regulations stated above. Please be respectful to others.
  • Keep your fanfictions on articles and not on Discussions. Similarly, keep character pages and roleplays off Discussions as well; there are dedicated wikis for these.
  • Please be mindful about what you post. Personal information, for example, should not be shared excessively, which includes age and sensitive topics (things pertaining to abuse, trauma, or other reportable offenses). Off-topic posts will need a clear topic.
  • On the advertising category (The Great Sycamore), please don't advertise more frequently than once every two weeks per fanfiction/community.
Both WFW stories and wikis can be advertised here; wiki or other non-WFW advertising, however, requires staff permission before doing so.
  • Links to off-topic art on other media, such as an animation or a speedpaint on YouTube, should require staff permission before posting. Art that might warrant trigger warnings, such as portrayals of blood or violence, will need both a clear warning and a suitable amount of space before the picture.
  • Spoiler content on this wiki is defined as either 1) being from The Broken Code and beyond, or 2) having major plot twists, character deaths or endings from novellas and super editions. All spoilers must be marked with spoiler tags and a suitable amount of space before the picture.
  • Spamming, defined as comments/posts repeating a previous comment/post or comments/posts using a word, phrase, or emoji in bulk, is not allowed.
  • Ask permission to add a user to a pinglist, and be respectful with pinging. Pinging users who have been inactive for three or four months is not allowed.
  • Do not necropost. If a thread has not been replied to for longer than two weeks, you should avoid posting on it.
  • Posts specifically directed towards individual users are not allowed. If you wish to have a personal discussion with them, please communicate using talk pages or another medium instead.
  • Discussion posts should not contain AI-generated content, including links to any such creations.

Categories

To better organise the wiki Discussions, we have discussion categories for posts to go in. Please categorise your post properly before clicking send.

If you accidentally post in the wrong category, you can edit it yourself or let a member of the staff know about it, in which case we will move it to the appropriate section.

  • The General category is for any discussion post that relates to canon Warriors content, our fanfictions, or the wiki itself - in short, content related to Warriors, Warriors fanfiction, or Warriors Fanfiction Wiki. This includes book reviews, AU ideas, thoughts on your or another user's fanfic, wiki suggestions, and more.
  • Any art, however, belongs in the creations category.
    • Please remember to mark spoilers when talking about spoiler content (defined above).
  • The Wiki News category is for wiki-wide announcements such as rule changes, updates on the wiki, and Clanfic posts. ONLY staff and Clan leaders are allowed to post here.
    • Updates about your fanfic, activity level, or personal life do not belong here.
  • The Support Requests category is for users looking for help or assistance. Frequent Moonpool posts include signature requests, collab requests, cover requests, and questions about how the wiki works.
  • The Contests and Activities category is for games and competitions that users may choose to host. All posts in this category should have the participants actively involved in doing something, whether it is writing a fanfic, commenting on pages, or making art.
    • Posts that provide a link to a blog-based contest also belong in this category.
    • If a contest has already been posted on Discussions once, a second post trying to get more participants will belong in the advertising category.
    • Posts that only require users to vote do not belong here.
  • The Creations category is for art and other creations made by our users, including both on-topic and off-topic art. Usual posts include warriors fanart, art for fanfiction characters, other art, and links to animations users have posted on other platforms.
    • Links to off-topic art on other websites will require staff permission before doing so.
  • The Advertising category is for posts that tell users to check out something that they may not have seen before. This includes fanfiction updates, other wikis, off-site writing, and accounts on other websites that users may have.
    • Any link that leads to non-warriors related content or another wiki will have to require staff permission before posting.
  • The Off-topic category is for posts that do not belong to any of the categories above - namely, posts that are about personal rather than wiki-wide matters. Typical off-topic posts include introduction posts, personal life updates, pictures of pets, activity notices, hobbies, and other fandoms (books, movies, musicals, etc.).
    • Any art, however, goes in the creations category.
    • Off-topic posts without clear topics will be deleted.

Roleplays

General roleplays

  • Explicit permission from one of the wiki staff MUST be obtained before a roleplay can be created.
    • When requesting permission, please message our talk pages with the setting/backstory you intend to give the roleplay, any rules that you would ask roleplayers to follow, and other information that you think would be important.
  • ALL roleplays must be warriors-related. Cat communities other than Clans are allowed, but roleplays with drastically different settings and/or other species are not permitted.
  • Roleplay posts are allowed on Discussions ONLY. Characters, settings, and other information may be kept on blogs and user subpages if needed. Under no circumstance can roleplay-related content take up an article page in any way.
    • Any articles that are roleplays or store roleplay information will be DELETED.
    • You may, however, write narrative fanfics based on the events in a roleplay.
  • You may ONLY make one discussion post per roleplay. Do not create multiple posts for different time periods/locations. Roleplay sign-ups and suchlike also should not be created as separate posts.
    • Rp posts will go under the "Contests and Activities" category.
  • Advertising a roleplay is allowed two weeks after the creation of the roleplay, with a maximum of one advertisement per roleplay per two weeks after that.
  • While roleplay hosts may specify extra regulations for their roleplay, we expect all rping on the wiki to conform to our general rules for Discussions, such as no swearing and providing trigger warnings when needed. Basic roleplaying etiquette, such as treating other people with respect and separating users from their characters, should also be followed.

Casual roleplays

  • Casual roleplays, user-based rps where everyone rps as themselves or their sona, are also allowed. These are usually spontaneous and not that serious in nature; they have no sign-ups, no fixed setting, no lore apart from what was previously established while roleplaying, and no character storage.
    • The most recent example to this would be Primestar in jail, while the most famous (to us old-ish users at least) would probably be the confetti wars.
  • Staff permission is not required for making posts related to these roleplays, but we do ask that there should only be one such post active at a time. Redundant posts will be deleted.
    • We highly advise against starting such rp sessions if you have not engaged in one before.
  • While only light-hearted fun is usually intended in casual rps, please remember that different people have different boundaries over these matters. Respect other users if they express discomfort over what is happening.

Alternate Accounts

While we do allow users to have multiple accounts here on WFW, there are some rules that require users to follow when creating other accounts.

  • All alternate accounts that are active on this wiki will be required to provide either a link or a full username on their userpage to the profile page of the main account.
    • An active alt is defined as an account that has posted, edited, or taken part in polls on this wiki. Alts which are only for viewing stuff or for editing other wikis are fine.
  • All of a person's accounts are responsible for the things that person does, regardless of what account they do it on. If a user commits vandalism on an alt, the main would be blocked too.
    • Using alternate accounts to vandalise or negatively affect the wiki in any way is not acceptable.
    • Using an alt to pretend to be another person will be counted as sockpuppeting.
    • Voting multiple times in polls is not allowed.

Other General Reminders

WFW has and continues to be a supportive and positive place for all members. Because of this, we have a few general reminders to keep the wiki as positive and friendly as possible.

  • Show kindness and respect to one another. This is the easiest way to keep the wiki as open as possible.
  • Keep in mind: shared names often do not mean stolen content! Most conflict tends to come from users debating about how their content overlaps in names. Just as there are multiple people with the same name, there are also many fans of Warriors out there, so it is very possible that you may come across a name you have used in the past/are using at present on fanfictions.
  • While the staff do tend to be somewhat lenient about the rules, it does not mean they do not enforce them. WFW's staff are around to maintain organization and keep the general peace of the wiki, and will enforce the rules as needed.
  • Remember that every story on here, unless otherwise stated, is a fanfiction. None of the content here is known to have affected the outcome of the series, and there may be differing outcomes from various arcs. We ask that you keep this in mind while browsing :)
If you have any questions or concerns, contact a member of the staff.
