The Discord itself

When you enter the server, it may seem very complex; however, there are a few things the admins to do be sure everyone is safe.

Entry

Upon entry, all users are given the Unassigned role and gain access to a unique role request channel. From there, in order to speak on the server, the user will need to acknowledge that they have read the Discord rules, and will then be allowed to speak within the role request channel.

In order to gain access to speak in other channels, users will be required to verify their account on the wiki. It is recommended that your Discord profile to be listed on your FANDOM profile to expedite the process. Users can request verification using the command !wiki verify <wiki username>. Provided users are having trouble, however, an admin may be pinged of the user's FANDOM username in order to get the Unassigned role removed. We ask that this is done within the channel or in an admin's DMs. This is done to ensure the safety of our server remains intact.

Rules

1. All rules of the wiki apply to the Discord. While the spaces we're chatting in are different, our rules remain the same across both platforms. The following rules apply exclusively to the Discord server.

2. Our top priority is to be nice to each other. We are a diverse community of creators and that means showing kindness & tolerance for everyone. Our server is safe for our international readers & members of the LGBTQ+ community, and discrimination and unkindness will not be tolerated. Please let an admin know if you know someone in the server who is breaking this rule - they will take action accordingly.

3. Please use @here, and refrain from @everyone. Several of our users do not appreciate being tagged when it is unnecessary, especially because the tag can sometimes arouse an entire server. While the admins will not take action, they will simply remind you of this rule.

4. NSFW content is not allowed, under any circumstance. Warriors is a series intended for children and we intend to keep the discord PG, minus the PG-13 general channel. Swears and curses are allowed in that channel, along with other PG-13 content.

5. Regarding Drama: Keep personal user drama out of the Discord as much as possible. If you have a specific issue that you think warrants the admins, you are welcome to send a message to one of them.

6. Privacy: WFW is a constant growing community, and often users sign up with disregard to COPPA, a US law meant to protect those under 13 online. If you are under 13, please, under any and all circumstance, do not reveal your age!

Nicknames

Discord enables its users to apply nicknames in servers. All nicknames must be appropriate for the wiki, and we suggest you use the same nickname you use on the wiki.

Roles

Roles are usually assigned by admins; they may be for experience, pronouns, or other interests.

Upon entry, all users receive the Unassigned role. You may not speak in any channel except for the #role-request channel until an admin can assign you another role.

The following roles are within the server:

Experience Roles

  • User: Every member of WFW is assigned this role. This shows that you are a contributing member of the wiki.
  • New Members: Users get this role if they have been members of the wiki for less than a year.
  • One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten Year Members: As you're on the wiki for longer, you get new roles assigned with them; please let an admin know how long you've been on the wiki!
  • Admins and Discord Admins: Managers of the server. Currently managed by Stork, Brams, Wetty, and Brighty. Often these align with WFW admins, though there are cases where they haven't.
  • Thread Moderators: These users moderate our Discussions pages.
  • WO Staff & WW Staff: Members with this role are staff members of our partner wikis, Warriors OCs Wiki or Warriors Wiki.
  • Non-WFW Members: Members with this role have no account on WFW, or do not contribute to it. They are merely on the Discord to engage with the community.

Pronoun Roles

  • She/Her: Users with this role use she/her pronouns.
  • They/Them: Users with this role use they/them pronouns.
  • He/Him: Users with this role use he/him pronouns.

Any new pronoun roles should be suggested to an admin.

  • Siggie Artists: Users with this role know how to code and can code signatures.

Other roles may be added using reactions in the #etc-roles channel.
