Hey there again! You guys must think that I just keep disappearing and then appearing again some time later, but I'm not! I just forget that nobody on here can see me when I hover around. Anyway, I thought it would just be fun to update you good people on the happenings in my life;

  • My Great Grandma died. That's basically the most important thing that's happened. It's especially sad because, since she had no sons, it means there are no more 'Troup's left. I'm not entirely sure of the whole storyline and don't particularly want to ask, but I'll tell you what I know.
    Great Grandma found out that she had breast cancer what must be around four years ago. They caught it in time and she had it sucessfully removed. Then a few weeks back, she went into the Doctors for a check-up and found that it had appeared again. This time, it was in her liver and had spread into her bones. There was no chance of removing it, the doctors could only attempt to shrink it.
    There was no news for a while, and then my Grandad phoned us to tell us that Great Grandma was in hospital and really wasn't very well. Me and my siblings made her cards but there really wasn't much else that we could do and my Mum couldn't get any baby-sitting, so she would have to wait until Saturday to see her.
    On Friday night, my Grandma phoned to tell us that Great Grandma had been moved to a different hospital and had a room to herself now. She was looking better and she had been watching TV and eating icecream. My Mum was pleased. But then we got another phonecall on Saturday morning and were told that Great Grandma had gone down hill overnight and if my Mum wanted to visit her, she would have to be quick. Of course, my Mum left straight away. Unfortunately, my Grandad called fifteen minutes later to tell us that Great Grandma was gone. We couldn't find my Mum's mobile number to tell her.
    My Mum was gone for a very long time. She came back just before dinner. She was really upset that she hadn't got there in time to see her before, but she was glad that it was very sudden and not long and dragged out like my Great Grandad.
  • Neil Primrose is a numpty. On a lighter note, I've found that my taste in music is moving backwards instead of forwards. The Lemonheads, Oasis, Badly Drawn Boy, The Smiths and even The Kinks. I think I'm listening to exactly the same music as my Mum. But not Kasabian - they give me a headache.
  • I'm almost as bad as my Grannie. I decided to bake biscuits for my Mum while she was away at the hospital. I was a fair way through putting the mixture together when I realised that we had less than half the amount of flour needed. Stupidly, I thought, screw it. Bad idea. They came out really quite weird. All floppy and ick.
  • I hate New York and everybody rich enough to afford to go there. The activities for events week suck. Seriously. I've decided to do `In the Woods`. Basically, you set out in the rain and the mud to pick up litter from the forest. How fun. But that was really the best free thing that you can do! Aside from surfing - but anybody willing to do that is an idiot. Perhaps if we didn't live in Scotland.
  • Seven weeks (not including this week) until the timetable change! Yey! I cannot wait! I'm just hoping I get good classes and teachers!

This blog post is a little random and all over the place, but I haven't made one in ages!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'm writing the third chapter of my newest fanfic (yes, a Warrior Cats one!), but have decided not to post it until I'm finished because otherwise people will probably get annoyed with me. I'm an insanely slow writer.

Can't believe I forgot this! My uncle is marrying his girlfriend sometime in July and they asked me to be one of their bridesmaids! Everybody's pretty excited about it! The girlfriend is the loveliest, sweetest girl ever! She's a dental nurse and has also come from a stupidly massive family. It's going to be a non-religious wedding (the only two religious people in our family will be just have to deal with it! xD) and kind of laid back. They're having it on the side of a mountain, which will be... interesting. When we drove past it a couple of weeks ago, it was covered in snow so we're expecting it to be pretty freezing and windy. I think we have to take a train to get to the spot.

It will be amazing though! As my uncle and his girlfriend are both from around here, they've decided to do 'Tying the Knot'! For those of you who don't know what that is (which is probably everybody) 'Tying the Knot' is when the bride and groom rip a strip of of their Clan tartans from their wedding clothes and tie both strips in a knot to symbolise both families uniting.

I haven't seen it done before because my other two uncles on my Dads side both married English girls and my Mum's maiden name was bizarre and foreign-sounding. We thought that it was French, but we looked it up and there seem to be a lot of South African people that share the same name so we're completely confused. Anyway, that side doesn't have a family tartan.

...

I'm pretty sure there's something else that I've forgotten to add in. Or maybe not.
