I may not be allowed to do this, I checked the rules and they didn't say I couldn't so... yeah. If I am not allowed to do this, kindly inform me and I will discontinue it.
So, I was thinking of starting a contest. I know there are lots of songfic contests, and I am not very good and writing songfics, so it would be unfair of me to judge other people's. So then, an idea popped into my head; poetry! I know there are some good poets out there. Basically, when I have some contestants, I'll make a page for the poetry contest and post links to all of yours on there. Then after a certain amount of time, I will judge. If you win, you get a...a... SHINY MEDAL!! JK =)
I'm Juding On:
Saddest Poem: The poem that gets me all teary eyed ( and that's easy!), makes me feel sorry for the character, or get emotional.
Most Creative Poem: This is the poem that is on an origonal topic, has an interesting layout, or does something that's not been done before.
I know we're all in different time zones, but I'd like your submission about a week or so after you join. If you fail to submit it within two weeks I'm removing you from the contest, sorry. You may not edit your poems after they have been submitted. If it's a grammer and/or spelling error, I'll overlook it. If you totally want to change your poem, leave a message on my talk page and we'll work it out. The maximum amount of people I will take is fifteen. You may submit TWO poems maximum.
How I judge:
I'm going to try and make this as fair as possible. I don't know many of you very well, so this is not going to be biased. After I get all the submissions, I will read them, probably 10 times over. Then, I'll decide. A user is allowed to win twice, but that will be unlikely. A poem cannot win twice. Also, on the page I'll create, a poll will be put up to see what other users think. This will have little to no effect on my judging.
What you have to do:
- Leave a comment that says something like ' I'll join!'.
- Tell me the name of your poem.
- Leave a message on my talk page when you are finished that links to the poem.
