I was just thinking about how much has happened in the last year. Users have come and gone, drama rising and being squashed, rights given and removed, friends made and broken. And it really made me sad. I miss the old days, back when I first joined and this site was full of cool, funny users (not saying you guys aren't anymore, it just amazed me when I was a noob how family-like you guys were here.) I remember joining Zaffie's StormClan, my first RPing site. I remember making my first fanfic, Gingerpaw's Prophecy, and deleting it two months later cuz it just really sucked balls. I remember instantly finding friends in Forest, Wetty, Zaffie, Arti and others. I remember making JMC and Forest strutting in and transforming it from boring and plain to interesting and fun.
And a whole lot of that has changed.
Does anyone remember Whitestar? He left a few months after I joined. Anyone notice Loveleaf has poofed? Remember Phoenixlight, who left after that humungo thing with Vi that started everything? Wildfire? Icy? Anyone remember Cardinalfire? Ravenflight? Jay? Wolffur? Clover? Draggie? Feathertail Millie? Hawkfire? Moss and Stealth haven't edited here in forever. SnapeFan and Snickers? Shadewing? Forest? Lots have left without notice, leaving us scratching our heads wondering, Where'd they go?
And some of the people here were driven away because of the drama. I almost left from it. The fight about a certain someone's rights all those months ago. The picture restriction left some users angry. Unfair banning on the admins' part. Issues caused by Vi and Aspen and all those other people. Vandals. Stuff that happened on the IRC. Bullying.
It's all happened, and every little thing has left a tiny cut. It all adds up to one big wound that people left the wiki in order to prevent from growing.
I'm not saying it's anyones fault. Everyone could have done a little something to prevent it, sure, but it isn't anyones direct fault. I'm just saying how much this wiki has really changed in the last year.
This is a lot longer than I thought it would be. I really got into this. I really only made this because I was thinking, "Remember that? I wonder if the others remember."
