So, you understand that the leader's words shouldn't be the warrior code, right?
Well, if you don't...
Once there was a leader(of RiverClan) named Sparkstar. She once ordered the Clan to "Jump off a cliff and kill yourselves", but the cats wouldn't budge. Then she added, "My words are the warrior code!" and the whole entire RiverClan died for a moment, but then WindClan comes from nowhere and helps to start it back up again.
LEADERS BEING IN CHARGE OF THE WARRIOR CODE LEADS TO DESTRUCTION.
Then there was a story you all know, Brokenstar.
Or maybe Tigerstar.
Or maybe Darktail.
Hmm, ShadowClan needs to learn to disobey evil leaders sometimes. (I'm not saying I don't like ShadowClan, it's my 2nd fav clan)
Then there was the leader of ThunderClan, named Moonstar, who led the helpless ThunderClan cats, who followed everything the leader said because apparently it was the "warrior code", into RiverClan territory, and let themselves be killed.
One survived, however.
His name was Spiderpelt and he decided to reverse rule 13 so...
