Chapter One
"Hi, Treeholly." Echostream, the former medicine cat, smiled at Treeholly, the current medicine cat.
"Hello." Treeholly dipped her head.
"I have a prophecy for you." said Echostream.
"What is it?"
"The clouds will cover the honey, the bees will swarm the river. Then the cloud will be a hero forever." said Echostream.
"That makes no sense!" Treeholly squeaked.
Echostream nodded. "You'll figure out the meaning once it happens." said Echostream.
Treeholly shook her head.
Echostream started to fade away.
"Don't go! I have questions!" Treeholly yowled.
Echostream disappeared.
"I have to tell Froststar and Pearfern."
Chapter Two
Windflame cried and cried as she held her kit close, which the kit was limp and cold. And dead.
"N-name h-him." said Windflame to her mate, Spiritleg.
"B-But he's dead." said Spiritleg.
"Still name him... H-he's - great." Windflame said.
"I'll name him Starkit." decided Spiritleg.
Windflame's eyes clouded with grief but joy, too.
"Starkit, Sweetkit, and Beekit." decided Windflame.
Riverstar entered the den.
"Those kits will grow to be weak," growled Riverstar to himself, leaving the den.
Chapter Three
Sweetkit and Beekit played together on the grass, smiling.
