Fire it Up

For Shine's contest. Enjoy~ <3

Who's there?

Oh, it's you, Redfire. I didn't see you.

You wanted a story?

Oh, the kits want a story.

Alright, let's begin.

Prologue - See It All[]

I am Violetflame, and I did a few things that I am proud of. Maybe my Clan wasn't proud of it, but I am. It's a long story, and since you kits actually have the guts to come near me, I guess I'll tell my story.

Redfire here is my guard, no, she's actually guarding me because of what I did. Yes, I am a so called criminal in WindClan, and I take pride in it.

Oh? You want to here the story about my life? Well it takes a long time, so you better settle in. No, Redfire, I'm not going to eat these kits.

When I was Violetkit, I had friends, one of them was Redkit. Another was Firekit. And the last one was Wetkit. Now they were the best, and we ruled as the best apprentices back then.

Then everything changed. Here, I'll tell you how I was born first. Then we'll get into the story.

~_~_~_~_~_~

It was a dark, and stormy night when Shadowflight was feeling kicks in her belly. "I can feel it! Get Brightsong. Maybe she can help me. Please!"

Firekit blinked open her eyes. "Mama? What's going on?"

Wetkit peeked out too. "Is Shadowflight kitting?"

Redkit squealed. "Will there be new kits in the Clan?"

Stormheart nodded. "Yes, there will be, settle down now. Settle down."

Firekit's eyes ere curious. "Where are you going, mama?" Her round, amber eyes bore into her mother's. Stormheart smiled back.

"I'm going to go fetch Brightsong for Shadowflight. You three stay in the nest, alright?"

Wetkit and Redkit nodded eagerly. "Alright!" Firekit sighed. "Fine." She muttered, circling the nest. She glanced at her sisters.

"Should we really just stay here?"

Wetkit glared at her. "Of course! Stormheart said we have to, and we shouldn't go against her words. Plus, we all agreed not to get out of our nest."

Redkit's head bobbed up and down. "Yeah, I agree with Wetkit."

Firekit groaned, and she flopped down. "You guys are no fun!" She complained. "We haven't gone out of the nursery since we were born!"

Wetkit shrugged. "We were only born a few days ago, our father hasn't even shown up yet!"

Redkit perked her ears. "I hear pawsteps coming our way! Duck down!" She ordered and Firekit hunkered down.

Brightsong nudged her way in, whispering a greeting to Firekit, Redkit and Wetkit. She spotted Shadowflight groaning in the corner, and mewed. "I've got a few poppyseeds that you're to take after the kits are born, alright?"

Shadowflight nodded, her eyes wide with terror. "I've never kitted before." She panted. "How do I know you'll get them out right?"

Brightsong's eyes were filled with worry. "I've seen Forestheart deliver kits so many times before she died, I'm sure to be able to do this one for you, Shadowflight."

Stormheart nodded as she settled in. "That's right, Brightsong practically helped me kit these three young ones."

Brightsong flashed Stormheart a grateful look. "Shadowflight, just relax, you're kits are coming soon."

The black queen nodded, and waited with the brown and white medicine cat. "Here they come! Push hard, Shadowflight! Push!" Brightsong ordered.

The medicine cat grabbed a solid stick, and shoved it to Shadowflight's mouth. "Bite on this!" She shrieked as Shadowflight screamed in pain.

Firekit squealed in fright and had her tail over her ears. Wetkit huddled next to her, and Redkit burrowed underneath Stormheart.

The gray queen stiffened, and watched the scene of the kitting. It was over in seconds, and Brightsong sighed in relief. "One kit."

Shadowflight purred in relief, though she was weak with pain. "I want to name her Violetkit."

A shiver went through the medicine cat, and she glanced up at the stars. "Violetkit..." She whispered softly. Then she turned to Shadowflight. "A beautiful name."

The medicine cat turned and left, though she was thinking hard. StarClan? Do you have a message for me? What is it?

Then she heard the message, loud and clear, and she shuddered because the message held something dangerous, a deep meaning that had to be understood.

Violet roses aren't just pretty flowers

Fire and water aren't just rivals

Four kits face one enormous destiny

One faces betrayal

Another faces death

The third faces bravery

And the last faces choice

Believe in yourself, in them

Brightsong shivered in fright, and closed her eyes. Oh StarClan, what do you mean?

Chapter One - Life Like You Have Never Before[]

(Many moons later...)

"We're becoming warriors today! Warriors!" Violetpaw squealed. Her mentor had been, Featherfur, a pale she-cat who was ever so caring.

Firepaw's mentor, Aquasplash came up to them. "You deserve it." She purred, nudging Firepaw and the others. "You passed your assessment by the mile!"

Wetpaw smiled as her own mentor, Bramblestar padded by. "Thanks! I can't wait to be a warrior."

Bramblestar purred. "Oh, we're doing it at sundown, when the Clan is eating. You're going to be warriors of WindClan soon." The brown tabby she-cat smiled as the apprentices jumped up and down.

Redpaw circled around Wetpaw, and saw her mentor, Rainsplash pad by. "Hey Rainsplash!" She called out. Her mentor stopped, and waved her tail at her apprentice.

Firepaw couldn't sit still as sundown came by. "Redpaw, Wetpaw, Violetpaw, we're going to be warriors!"

The four had become best friends in their kithood, being born around the same time. Then as apprentices, they had been great friends, always going everywhere together. They chatted every sundown, and shared every news they got.

Wetpaw became more mature and more like a leader, while Redpaw modeled after her. Firepaw was more of a bouncy she-cat, always cheerful, and looked up to her two sisters. Violetpaw was more of the quiet one, being the only one who wasn't part of their family. Though the other three treated her like a sister.

Bramblestar waved her tail as a goodbye, and padded away to join her mate, Tanglefrost. (No, this does not mean Tangle and Arti actually like each other, I just needed a tom >.>) They chatted and lay down to discuss Clan things.

Aquasplash, also WindClan deputy, nuzzled Firepaw and padded away. "You guys enjoy your last afternoon as an apprentice!" She called.

Firepaw watched her go, then turned around to swipe at Violetpaw. "Let's play!"

Wetpaw snorted and rolled Redpaw over, and it turned into an all out fight. Violetpaw was fairly good at fighting, and she twisted around to kick Firepaw away.

Redpaw came in, barreling into Violetpaw's shoulder. The calico she-cat stumbled back, as Firepaw regained her balance. Wetpaw was in front of her in seconds, swiping with her gray paws.

Firepaw rolled away this time, and butted Wetpaw, making the gray apprentice lose her balance. Wetpaw grunted and stumbled back a bit. The two sisters could hear Redpaw and Violetpaw sparring, and they collided together once more.

Violetpaw collapsed laughing as the four of them lay there, enjoying the sunset. "We're going to be warriors soon." Redpaw whispered excitedly.

"Let's guess our warrior names!" Wetpaw suggested.

Firepaw tilted her head. "Well... I want a name like Firestorm, or Fireheart! Remember that famous ThunderClan leader all the way back then?"

"That was so long ago!" Wetpaw exclaimed, "Though I doubt Branblestar would give you such a name." She mewed.

Redpaw shrugged. "I want a name like Redpoppy or something. Maybe it'll be Redfire or even Redclaw!"

Violetpaw shook her head. "Redpoppy sounds nice, though Redfire fits you the most. Redclaw sounds like a tom name though." She wrinkled her muzzle.

Wetpaw looked thoughtful. "I think I want a name like... Wetheart, or maybe Wetstream. Yeah, Wetstream sounds nice." She purred.

Violetpaw sat down, and shrugged. "I think Violetheart or Violetstorm sounds nice, though I wonder what Bramblestar will call me.."

The four of them sat there for a bit longer, than Firepaw sighed. "I just wish it would be sundown already so we can get our warrior names."

Wetpaw nodded, until her head seemed to be falling off. "We're lucky its leaf-green right now. If it was leaf-bare, we'd be sitting vigil in the freezing winter night!"

Redpaw nodded too. "And we have each other. Imagine sitting vigil by yourself!"

Violetpaw smiled. "I'm glad I have you guys, you're so nice to me, and I thought when I was born with no other siblings, I would have to play and train alone, but then you guys took me in!"

Just then, another apprentice, Jaypaw walked by. "Oh, it's not fair," he whined. "You're becoming warriors already?"

Redpaw glared at him. "We've been training for six moons, and you've only been training for two, don't think you can become a warrior so easily."

Jaypaw rolled his eyes. "But I've been working hard!"

Shiningkit and Skykit came tumbling out of the nursery. "We want to see the new warriors!"

Redpaw laughed. "We're still apprentices, though Bramblestar's climbing the HighRock right now!"

Firepaw's eyes darted up to the WindClan leader. "Let all cats old enough to chase rabbits gather around now!"

The four apprentices darted beside their mentors. Aquasplash gazed down at Firepaw proudly, and she escorted Wetpaw too, since Bramblestar herself was on the HighRock. Rainsplash was smiling happily as she guided Redpaw to Bramblestar. Featherfur purred as Violetpaw bounded after her friends.

"Today, we have four apprentices who are becoming warriors." Cheers erupted from WindClan. Violetpaw puffed out her chest. Redpaw ducked her head, embarressed. Firepaw raised her head higher, her eyes shining with pride. And last of all, Wetpaw gazed up at her leader and mentor proudly.

Their mentors were gazing fondly at their apprentices, and then Bramblestar continued. "Violetpaw, Redpaw, Wetpaw, and Firepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend the Clan, even with your life?"

"I do." The four apprentices chimed.

Bramblestar's eyes shimmered with pride and happiness. "Then with the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Redpaw, from now on, you shall be known as Redfire. StarClan honors you for your loyalty and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan!"

"Wetpaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Wetstrem. StarClan honors your loyalty and strength, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."

"Firepaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Firestorm. StarClan honors you for your kindness and spirit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."

"Violetpaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Violetflame. StarClan honors you for your strength and knowledge, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."

"Redfire! Wetstream! Firestorm! Violetflame!"

Firestorm embraced her sisters and her friend happily. Violetflame smiled, and grinned from ear to ear. Redfire was dancing happily and even Wetstream bowled Firestorm over playfully.

We're warriors at last!

Chapter Two - Flames of Friendship[]

Violetflame sighed softly as she sat vigil. The three sisters looked so happy together, and Violetflame scratched the earth, her eyes flaring in anger. She was always the outsider, never really part of the group, as of the three sisters were so close together.

She remembered the day she was born, and the few days after that, when she opened her eyes. Shadowflight had been so kind, so proud of her for accomplishing that. But now... Shadowflight was in StarClan, dead from a battle against RiverClan.

That day when she opened her eyes...

"Violetkit, are you awake? Come on, try opening those little eyes of yours." Shadowflight cooed to her daughter.

The calico she-cat let out a faint mew, and opened her bright yellow eyes.

"Oh, they're beautiful! Avalanchestrike, come see your daughter's eyes!" Shadowflight called. The white tom shouldered his way in and let out a rusty purr.

"She's beautiful..." He whispered, nudging her gently. Violetkit flinched away, not knowing who the big white tom was.

"I'm Avalanchestrike, your father, Violetkit."

The little kit squeaked and nuzzled him back. He felt warm and soft, and she relaxed. Shadowflight glanced at the other queen, Stormheart. "Do you think your three kits can play with Violetkit? I don't want her to get lonely."

Violetkit peeked past Shadowflight at Stormheart. "Of course! I was raised with Brightsong, so I know how fun it is to have other kits to play with. Violetkit, dear, come join Redkit, Wetkit, and Firekit!"

She padded over hesitantly, and saw three kittens squirming in the nest, play fighting. "Hello." She squeaked with a tiny voice.

Firekit, the red-orange she-cat looked up. "Oh hey! Aren't you Violetkit?"

"Yeah." She nodded. "I am."

Redkit welcomed her in. "Come play with us." She mewed as she tumbled with Wetkit. Violetkit looked at her newfound friends, knowing she found a group of cats that could help her, and be her friends.

Violetflame glanced at her companions. They always included Violetflame in their activities, but she felt that their friendship was stronger than their friendship with her.

The calico she-cat shuffled her paws. She was lucky, she was told, as most calicos were ugly and weren't very attractive. But Violetflame had a gorgeous pelt, Shadowflight had told her, and many toms' eyes were on her.

Maybe Violetflame was just overthinking, and her friends did care about her.

~_~_~_~_~_~_~

"How are the newest warriors?" Stormheart purred, looking at her three daughters fondly. "I'm so proud of all of you, making it here with high heads, strong standards."

Violetflame purred along with her three friends, though she didn't feel quite happy. Stormheart obviously was proud of her daughters, but that didn't mean she was proud of her daghters' friend. And Shadowflight wasn't here to congratulate Violetflame.

Even her father, Avalanchestrike was gone too, died in an outbreak of greencough last leaf-bare. Violetflame sighed. "I'm going to go rest in the warriors' den."

Firestorm nodded. "Me too, I'm tired."

Together, the two padded into the warriors' den. "What's going on, Violetflame? What's wrong?" The calico she-cat kept going for a second, then paused, turning to stare at Firestorm.

The red she-cat always seemed to know when Violetflame was having bad thoughts, or when she was upset. The concern in Firestorm's eyes warmed Violetflame's heart, though she didn't really feel any happiness for the red she-cat.

"Just tired from the vigil," she mewed. "Aren't you?"

Firestorm nodded. "Yeah, but you seemed down at the vigil too. Aren't you excited that we're warriors now?" She tilted her head a bit.

Violetflame shrugged. "Yeah, being a warrior seems fun." She forced out a purr, then padded into the den. Firestorm followed her, her round amber eyes tracking the calico she-cat to her nest.

Circling it, Violetflame thought, You don't have to try so hard, I know I'm an outcast in the group... Then she rued her thinking because they were only so close together because they were sisters, not just a friend. Violetflame let out a soft sigh. Why must life be so hard?

~*~

Wetstream was circling Redfire excitely. "Are you still upset about the fact that Bramblestar chose Redfire instead of Redpoppy?"

Redfire glared at her sister. "I'm not upset about that, though I do wish she had chosen Redpoppy, such a pretty name..."

"You could just ask Bramblestar to change your name. You can do that, you know?" Wetstream pointed out, rolling her eyes.

Redfire shook her head. "I don't want to bother Bramblestar with nonsense, plus, Redfire is an okay name."

"Then don't complain about it!" Wetstream sighed.

Glaring at the gray she-cat, Redfire hissed. "I said I wasn't thinking about that! I'm worried about Violetflame. She doesn't seem to be as happy as she was as a kit and as an apprentice."

Wetstream looked curious. "What do you mean, Redfire?"

"Hurry up!" Stormheart growled. "Shineheart is waiting you know..."

"Alright, alright!" Redfire called back, "I'll tell you later." She whispered to Wetstream as she bounded after their mother.

Shineheart glared at the two new warriors. "We have borders to patrol, Redfire, Wetstream. You should know better than to just stand around and chat. Am I clear?"

"Yes, Shineheart." The two sisters mumbled.

They trudged after the older warriors, still exchanging small words of their conversation. "Haven't you noticed Violetflame's behavior?" Redfire hissed.

Wetstream shook her head. "I thought Firestorm was just overthinking, but now you're having doubts too?"

Redfire sighed. "Just keep an eye on Violetflame, Wetstream. She's acting funny."

"You're acting funny." She muttered under her breath.

The patrol moved on from the RiverClan border, heading towards the ThunderClan border. Wetstream sniffed the air, and frowned. "Something's not right here."

Shineheart sniffed the air too. "You're right," she growled. "There's ThunderClan scent on our side of the border. Let's check this one out. Wetstream, you and Redfire go around to the border. Stormheart and I will make sure those squirre-eaters aren't on our territory."

Redfire darted away, with Wetstream racing after her. The two sisters sniffed the air carefully, checking for any ThunderClan scents.

"There's fresh scent here," Redfire whispered. "Should we go tell the others?"

Wetstream nodded. "You go, I'll watch for ThunderClan cats."

Her sister darted away, and Wetstream watched the border closely. She didn't notice any movement, though ThunderClan scent was getting stronger and stronger.

She whipped around, suddenly aware of cats behind her. ThunderClan cats loomed forward, and they quickly had Wetstream surrounded and taken away. She struggled to yowl for help, but one of the cats had wrapped their tail around her mouth. She bit down on it, hoping for the cat to yowl, but they didn't.

Wetstream feel limp on the floor, where the ThunderClan leader, Cleverstar was waiting. "Ah, so WindClan is still snooping around the border, eh?"

Feeling brave, the gray she-cat glared at the leader. "WindClan will fight ThunderClan! We won't lose." She growled.

Cleverstar laughed. "Oh really... Well I've been having so many doubts about this battle, so I decided to invite some of you to my camp."

Wetstream gritted her teeth, and snarled at the ThunderClan leader. "WindClan will make you pay!" She yowled as she was shoved into a cave.

"Who's there?" A faint whisper sounded in the back of the cave.

"Birdpaw?" Wetstream's astonished mew sounded in the cave. "Is it really you?"

Chapter Three - Not Much of a Mystery[]

It was a mystery... Redfire thought to herself, glancing at the area where Wetstream had been standing a few minutes ago. Where is she?

Redfire had gotten Stormheart and Shineheart and had returned to see that her sister had disappeared. Shineheart had sniffed the air, and mewed. "There's ThunderClan scent here, alright."

Stormheart circled the area frantically. "We have to find her!"

Redfire closed her eyes, and breathed in sharply. "Fear." The two older warriors glanced at her, obviously confused. "There's a scent of fear here."

"Not much though." Shineheart growled. "I think I know what happened to Wetstream."

Stormheart stared at Shineheart, and Redfire opened her eyes, reaching her conclusion seconds before Shineheart said it.

"Wetstream went with ThunderClan for a reason, and I don't know if she's loyal to us or them."

~_~_~_~_~_~_~

The next day for Redfire didn't go well. Shineheart had announced to Bramblestar what she thought happened with Wetstream. Bramblestar had then called a meeting, and the senior warriors, including Redfire for some reason, had a long discussion about this issue.

This is how it had gone:

Bramblestar sighed. "Wetstream... she was such a lively kit, and her sisters are great warriors." A low murmur spread among the gathered warriors. "I do not want to believe that she has joined ThunderClan against us."

Brightsong glanced at the camp entrance. "She must have been with ThunderClan ever since she was an apprentice. Though Cleverstar and Stargaze might have bribed her into doing it so."

Shineheart shook her head. "There may have been fear in there, but it could have been easily faked. It was very faint, and it is very likely that Wetstream is siding with ThunderClan."

Redfire's gaze darted from one cat to another. "You can't believe this can you?"

She had told Firestorm, and the red she-cat had been shocked. Redfire shut her eyes tightly, and whispered. "WindClan, Wetstream would never do that. She wouldn't betray her family, her Clan, for an enemy Clan!"

"Then she just did."

Redfire sighed, and sat back. Stormheart embraced her kit, and mewed softly to her. "I don't want to believe it either, but Wetstream has betrayed us for ThunderClan..."

"No!" Redfire screeched in anger. The cats all turned to stare the the russet she-cat. "That isn't Wetstream, that isn't my sister."

Aquasplash glanced at Redfire. "Redfire, I know you're upset, but it's something we're going to have to deal with. Wetstream has gone to ThunderClan, and I'm almost certain she's plotting with that Cleverstar."

"Almost." Redfire snarled. "Not completely certain. Wetstream didn't betray us!"

Bramblestar sighed softly. "Redfire, please sit down and listen to the rest of this meeting or else I'll have to ask you to leave."

The red she-cat glared at her leader, then sullenly sat down. Rainsplash padded over to her former apprentice, and mewed. "I know it's hard, but it's our only conclusion of this issue."

Redfire shook her head. "I'm going to find out why Wetstream disappeared. I refuse to believe that she's plotting with ThunderClan."

Another senior warrior, Birchfire, scratched the ground. "We should try to investigate this situation, Wetstream is probably in ThunderClan right now, and if we send a small patrol to interrogate Wetstream, maybe we can get an answer."

Bramblestar nodded to Birchfire. "I think that's a terrific idea. Redfire, go tell Firestorm I want her here right now."

The russet she-cat nodded and darted away. She scampered down to the warriors' den and called out to her sister. "Firestorm! Come join us at Bramblestar's den, she wants you."

Violetflame let out a low growl. "Always Firestorm. Always her. Never Violetflame."

Redfire shot her a confused look, then dismissed it, hurrying away after Firestorm. The two sisters reached the leader's den in no time, and Bramblestar nodded to Firestorm.

"We're sending a patrol down to ThunderClan to question Wetstream about her motives. We must see what we can get from her." Bramblestar mewed. "Aquasplash will lead the battle, Firestorm, Redfire, and Rainsplash will go and talk to Wetstream. Go now."

They raced out, desperate to know the meaning behind Wetstream's disappearance. They reached the ThunderClan border in no time, and saw... Cleverstar and Stargaze waiting.

"I knew you'd come," the ThunderClan leader smirked. "And I'm here to tell you to turn back and go home. You aren't welcome here."

Aquasplash, the faithful deputy of WindClan raised her head proudly. "We want to speak with Wetstream. That's all."

"No." Stargaze snarled. "We'll answer for you. She's doesn't want to see you kittens anyways. She knows she's gotten you WindClan scums, but she doesn't want to show her face yet. Too shy I guess."

Cleverstar's smirk grew wider and wider. "Deal with it. Wetstream's a traitor, and you're nothing in her eyes now."

Redfire growled and stepped forward. "She's my sister. I want to speak to her."

Firestorm stepped up beside her. "She's our sister, and we want to hear it from her."

Stargaze rolled her eyes. "Oh, you don't get it do you? Here, I'll repeat it for you. Wetstream has betrayed you, and she doesn't want to see you vermin. Now leave!"

Aquasplash's eyes blazed dangerously. "We will come back for her, just you wait."

"What's the use?" the leader laughed. "She's helping ThunderClan anyways."

Redfire gelt her heart go cold. She couldn't believe that Wetstream had betrayed WindClan, and she didn't want the others to believe it. Her mentor, Rainsplash was staring at the ThunderClan in utter shock. "She couldn't have just left us." She whispered.

The patrol left in utter despair, and Rainsplash gulped and mewed softly. "She really did... she really did betray us."

"No!" Redfire snarled. "I don't believe it. Wetstream wouldn't do that!"

She just did... Shineheart's words echoed in Redfire's heart. Tears flowed from her eyes, and she turned to Firestorm. "Do you believe this?"

Her sister sighed. "I'm not sure what to believe. I don't want to think that she would betray us, but why would she just go to ThunderClan?"

Redfire glanced up at StarClan. "I say ThunderClan stole her. She wouldn't have crossed the border by herself!"

But the four cats just couldn't come up with a solution. A whole new life was starting, and the fields of the game had been set. Anything could happen now.

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

Wetstream stared in shock at Birdpaw. "You've been here for the entire time?"

The apprentice nodded, her pelt was raggedy and her eyes were slightly haunted. "Cleverstar took me and just stowed me away here. It's been a whole moon, Wetstream." She whispered brokenly.

The gray she-cat laid her tail on Birdpaw's shoulder. "You should be a warrior by now..." She whispered softly. "But Cleverstar took that all from you."

Birdpaw looked away. "It's not just that, she's been using me as a slave. She might do that to you too, Wetstream."

"No," she hissed softly. "Call me Wetpaw. If you aren't a warrior yet, I won't be either. I will be Wetpaw for now."

Birdpaw smiled faintly. "Thank you, Wetpaw, but you deserve your warrior name."

"You do too." The gray she-cat whispered back.

Chapter Four - Not In Me to Do it[]

Wetstream watched Birdpaw pad around. "Are you sure you want me to keep my warrior name?" Her gaze was haunted, and she lashed her tail.

Birdpaw nodded. "Of course, you deserved it, and I was here, not strong enough to break out myself. What use am I to the Clan like this?"

The gray she-cat laid her tail on Birdpaw's pelt. "But it's because Cleverstar took you from WindClan. You don't belong in this dump."

The apprentice sighed. "It's the life I live now, I don't think I'll be returning to WindClan, even if you do."

"Why not?"

"I don't know... I'm just so accustomed to living this life, I probably won't be used to Clan life anymore... Maybe I'll go out, into the wild lands, and just live the life of a rogue." Birdpaw lowered her head, obviously agitated. "You'll tel the Clan, won't you?"

Wetstream only nodded. "Of course."

The day went on slowly, and the two were left to be. Stargaze came by with a scrawny mouse for them to share, sneering at them as she went by. Wetstream sighed, thinking about WindClan. Are Firestorm and Redfire wondering where I am? Are they looking for me? Or do they believe what Cleverstar made up...

"Wetstream?"

"Yes?" The gray she-cat glanced over.

"You seem more...quiet nowadays." Birdpaw murmured, "When you were an apprentice, you were a bouncy she-cat that wouldn't listen."

Wetstream smiled slightly, "I was, wasn't I?"

"A jumpy apprentice too." Birdpaw's eyes twinkled.

~*~

"Redfire, I know you're upset, but-"

"But what?" The red she-cat wailed. "You guys aren't believing my side of the story, and you're all willing to believe that Wetstream's a betrayer!"

"Because she is," Brightsong sighed, "Otherwise, why did Wetstream just go across the border?"

Redfire took in a breath. "Wetstream would never do that! You all know that, don't you? Firestorm, would Wetstream really betray her home Clan for ThunderClan?"

Firestorm stood up beside her sister. "Wetstream would never do such a thing! She's been a loyal she-cat, and now she disappears and you're all saying that she's a traitor?"

Bramblestar sighed and closed her eyes. "I understand your concerns, Firestorm, Redfire, but Wetstream has been acting odd the past few days before your warrior ceremony, and she hasn't really been herself. She could have easily been contacting ThunderClan."

"ThunderClan is ruled by that crazy Cleverstar and Stargaze! They're both mad and evil, so why would kind and caring Wetstream go with them?" Redfire hissed.

Brightsong laid her tail on Redfire's shoulder. "I know you're upset, but Wetstream's behavior is very unusual too. It's very likely that she crossed the border by herself."

"You always say that!" Firestorm growled. "You said that when Birdpaw went missing. You said she wasn't loyal to the Clan and that she just left us because she felt like it, like Ravenpaw!"

Rainsplash padded over and calmed the frantic warriors. "It's okay, Firestorm, Redfire. We understand how you feel about Wetstream, but this is our best conclusion, and we should go charging across the border into enemy territory with no clue of what's inside."

Aquasplash nodded. "It's never a safe decision to do such a thing. Just calm youselves, Firestorm, Redfire, and we'll solve this mystery."

Redfire rolled her eyes and stormed away. Firestorm gave the senior warriors apologetic looks and hurried after her sister. "You don't believe that Wetstream willingly crossed the border do you?" Redfire hissed.

Firestorm shook her head. "I know Wetstream, we know Wetstream. She's our sister, for StarClan's sake! We know everything about her, and I know for sure that Wetstream wouldn't go to ThunderClan willingly! She's a loyal WindClan warrior."

Redfire nodded. "I want to sneak into ThunderClan camp and find them."

"Better not." Aquasplash growled as she padded up behind them. "Bramblestar wouldn't be too happy if you two were to go ambling across the enemy line."

Firestorm sighed, "We just want to get Wetstream back!"

"We don't know if she's really loyal to us or not." Aquasplash pointed out. "And," she mewed before Redfire could interrupt, "Wetstream has been acting odd lately, and anyone could fake their loyalty to a Clan. She may have been just tricking us this entire time."

Redfire lowered her gaze, her tears dropping now. "But I trust Wetstream." She whispered. "I trust that she's loyal to ThunderClan."

"I do too." Firestorm muttered.

Chapter Five - It's Not the Real Thing []

Firestorm sighed as she looked for Violetflame. Where is she? Violetflame's been real quiet ever since we became warriors. She's so... distant now.

Her sister, Redfire, was sitting sullenly next to her, ranting about how Bramblestar didn't understand Wetstream, and how their sister wasn't a traitor. They don't believe us... But Wetstream would never go to ThunderClan with her own free will. I know it!

Firestorm sighed and stretched. "I'm going to go hunt. Maybe that'll cheer me up."

Redfire waved her tail, still looking furious. "I'll stay here." She muttered.

Firestorm shrugged. "Your choice."

She padded out, tipping her head up to enjoy the sunlight. If only I could be hunting right now with Wetstream. Firestorm nodded to Jaypaw who was walking beside his mentor, Hopeflare. The she-cat warrior smiled at Firestorm, and let her go first.

Jaypaw pouted at Firestorm and stuck out his tongue. Stuck up furball. Firestorm muttered. She pushed past him and headed out onto the moor. Outside, she heard the murmurs of Lilystem and Mistybird, who were patrolling the ThunderClan border.

"Do you think we'll see Wetstream here?"

"I doubt it." Replied Mistybird. "She probably knows that WindClan knows her secret, so she must be keeping low for her own sake."

Rage burned in Firestorm's belly as she headed down the slope, sniffing for rabbits. She flexed her claws, desperate to prove that Wetstream was innocent. Next time, Redfire and I will save her and prove the whole Clan wrong!

Stormheart slipped out behind her. "Firestorm? Why are you hunting so early in the morning?"

The red she-cat turned to her mother. "I wanted to relax out here. The whole Clan's talking about how Wetstream is a traitor."

Stormheart whimpered and mewed sadly. "I wish that she was a better cat. I didn't know Wetstream would turn like this. I always thought that she was a mature she-cat that was loyal to WindClan..."

Firestorm's tears began to flow out. "Not you too! Why doesn't anyone understand that Wetstream was captured by ThunderClan, and she isn't a traitor to WindClan!"

Stormheart brushed against her daughter's rippling fur. "Firestorm, I know you're worried and you think you're right, but there's no real evidence telling us that Wetstream wasn't a traitor. All the clues pointed towards the fact that she's joined ThunderClan. As much as I hate it myself, we have to accept the truth."

"It's not the truth!" Firestorm hissed as she started to run off. "I'll prove that it's not the truth!"

~_~_~_~_~

"Firestorm, why exactly are we doing this?" Redfire looked frightened as she watched the border. "You know Wetstream was taken in this exact spot."

Firestorm rolled her eyes. "Yes, I know that, and I want to rescue her."

Redfire sighed. "You know I do too, but how is charging across the border a smart idea?"

"Yes, I do." Firestorm hissed. "Cleverstar isn't expecting us to be here right now, and she certainly doesn't think any of us would be brave enough."

"And I don't blame her for thinking that." Redfire shivered.

Firestorm glared at her sister. "What happened to the fired up she-cat who argued against the senior warriors and the leader? Aren't you happy that we're getting Wetstream back?"

Redfire nodded. "I am, but I'm scared we're going to get caught."

"Oh we won't." Firestorm purred. "I've been spying on the border, so I know every detail of it, and I know their schedule. I've memorized what Cleverstar does."

Redfire glanced at the border. "You're absolutely sure that Cleverstar isn't sending a patrol right now to check this border."

"I'm sure." Firestorm sighed. "I've been monitoring the border since last week! I know how she runs, she never sends a patrol at this time of the day because she knows we don't patrol at this time."

"Oh, my last schedule has been fake m'dear. Everything you know is not the real thing." Cleverstar purred, as she emerged with a patrol of well-trained warriors. "You aren't going anywhere, but ThunderClan."

~_~_~_~_~

"You know you're sisters are joining you soon right?" Stargaze laughed as she guarded Wetstream and Birdpaw.

Wetstream hissed. "Rabbit-dung! You're just lying to make me speak. I'll never tell you the secrests of WindClan."

Birdpaw took a step back. "I don't know what you're talking about, but Firestorm and Redfire would never get caught by freaks like you!"

Stargaze snorted. "Too late, I hear them coming now."

"Let me go!" A shriek sounded. "You scum! Stop tugging at my ear!"

Oh no... Wetstream thought. No, it can't be. They couldn't have been caught too! Redfire, Firestorm!

Chapter Six - The Reality That We Now Live In []

Redfire clenched her teeth as she was shoved into the den alongside Firestorm. "Brilliant plan, Firestorm." She hissed. "You did great at watching the border."

Her sister rolled her eyes. "You know that I was watching the border, but Cleverstar changed the schedule today! It wasn't what I expected."

"That will teach you to try to interfere with us." Cleverstar purred. "There's nothing else for you to do but sit tight, and watch as WindClan finds you all guilty."

Birdpaw stepped out from the shadows. "We'll escape, the four of us together, and you'll be sorry yourself, Cleverstar!"

"Ah, what a brave apprentice." Stargaze snorted. "Aren't you so smart? Getting trapped in here for five moons now."

Wetstream hissed. "You won't keep us in here forever. We'll find a way out."

Stargaze only laughed and closed them off from the outside world.

"Birdpaw!" Firestorm gasped. "You were here the entire time?"

The apprentice nodded. "For five moons, I've been stuck in ThunderClan, serving their needs. What did WindClan think?"

"They thought you ran away because you thought Clan life was too hard." Firestorm whispered.

Redfire nodded. "The whole Clan gave up on you, Birdpaw, and you were forgotten..." She pretty amber eyes looked down at the dusty stone floor.

Birdpaw shrugged. "I think Clan life isn't for me anyways... I want to go out into the wild and explore by myself. I'll help you three get out of here, but I don't think I'll go back to WindClan myself..."

Firestorm sighed softly. "I understand your decision, but don't you want to get your warrior name and all? You deserve one... You're as old as us."

Birdpaw shook her head. "I think I've had enough with the Clans. I've had good times, but I had some bad times too. I think it's time I departed from the Clans and live my own, separate life."

~_~_~_~_~_~

"Okay, so we're going to escape in the Gathering tonight, when Cleverstar and Stargaze are not here, and just keep fighting untl we're out." Wetstream went over the plan with us. "Got it?"

They nodded, and Redfire stiffened, "What if they don't go?"

Wetstream furrowed her brow. "We'll need a back-up plan for that. Good thinking, Redfire." Firestorm shifted her paws.

"How about we do it when everyone's asleep? We could easily knock out-"

"Or kill." Birdpaw interrupted. "They won't have any mercy on us if the alarm sounds. Killing the guards would be the best choice."

Firestorm looked a bit mortified, then nodded. "Right, and then we sneak out through the cover of night. Even with a full moon, they shouldn't be able to catch us."

Redfire shrugged. "I have a better idea. We shouldn't wait until everyone's back from the Gathering. We should escape when the Gathering is occuring because either Stargaze or Cleverstar will have to attend the Gathering."

"Brilliant!" Wetstream purred. "Then it's all set. We'll set out once the Gathering starts."

"And not too early." Birdpaw warned. "We can't afford to warn the group that we're escaping." They all nodded, and settled in, pretending that they were just discussing prey and such.

Cleverstar allowed us to each take a piece of prey that night, as if she knew that we were leaving her camp this night. She only gave us a wicked grin and sent us back to our prison cave. I was carried a mouse, savoring the taste. Mouse was good, but I rarely tasted it because of the moors.

By the time they were ready to leave, we were restless. After being confined for just a day, Redfire was getting fidgety. She could only imagine how it felt for Wetstream, or even Birdpaw.

Then the patrol was gone. Cleverstar had attended the Gathering, leaving Stargaze behind to defend the camp, and watch it. The deputy's sharp gaze swept the area, her eyes searching for any means of escape. "There's no way we'll get out now.." Redfire whispered.

"No, we still have a chance." Birdpaw whispered back. "There has to be a flaw in this perfect plan."

Wetstream smirked. "Distraction is what we need."

She reviewed the new plan over with them, and then they were set. Redfire crouched low, hoping that Stargaze wouldn't see her. Wetstream was already creeping out, hidden by her dark pelt. Then she hid behind the guard as Stargaze swept by. Putting her claws to the guard's neck, she hissed. "Don't say a word, or I'll slice your neck."

The guard stiffened, and didn't move. "Now you're going to let your other friend know that it's time for them to get some sleep and call the next guard."

The she-cat bit her lip, then whispered to the guard beside her. "It's moonhigh, go get the next guard, get some sleep."

The other guard nodded, and slipped away to call the next warrior. "Act normal." Wetstream hissed. "And you're not going to say a word as my friends slip out."

"Go!" Birdpaw hissed, shoving them forward. One by one, the cats filed out of the camp, slipping right through the dirtplace tunnel to slip past the guard. Then Wetstream let go of the guard, and make a mad dash for the tunnel that Firestorm was going through.

"Stargaze, the prisoners are escaping!"

Redfire heard the screech and pulled Firestorm through. "You two, get out of here! I'll get Wetstream and we'll find our way back."

Firestorm seemed hesitant, then nodded. They charged away, leaving Redfire alone with Wetstream. "We have to go towards ShadowClan territory. They won't expect us there."

The gray she-cat nodded, breathless. Together, the two sisters hid in the shadows of the bushes, waiting for Stargaze's search patrol to sweep by. "There's no way we'll make it through ThunderClan territory. We need to get around through ShadowClan and RiverClan."

Wetstream gritted her teeth. "You should have left me to fend for myself, I'm sure I could have found my way out."

Redfire ignored the fear in her heart. "No way, Wetstream. We're a team, remember?" Without Firestorm here, the team was reduced to the two of them.

"Where's Firestorm and Birdpaw?"

"I sent them ahead to tell Bramblestar. They should be safe in the WindClan camp." Redfire urged her sister forward. "We have to keep moving, come on."

Wetstream sniffed the air. "The Gathering isn't over yet, we should just charge across."

Redfire nodded. "On the count of three, one-"

"Go!"

Well then.. Redfire muttered as she charged after her sister. Almost immediately they had to hide under a bush to escape the watchful eyes of the ShadowClan warriors. "I heard something." One growled. "ThunderClan has been acting up again..."

"Let's check the border, who knows what Cleverstar might be planning?"

Redfire froze. They couldn't be found so easily... Then the warriors picked up their scent. "WindClan..." The other shuffled forward, revealing the ferns that hid us.

"What are you doing here?" The white tom hissed.

Redfire mewed bravely. "Cleverstar kidnapped us from our own border, and we just escaped, and we were trying to cross through ShadowClan and RiverClan to get back to WindClan."

"Hmph." The gray tom muttered. "Cleverstar would do that. Next time, just ask us okay?" He sounded exasperated, as if he had lots of escaping prisoners tell the same story.

"Um okay." Wetstream mewed hurriedly, then the two sisters rushed by, hurrying on.

Chapter Seven - Stubborn Thoughts[]

"Firestorm, Redfire, Wetstream, Birdpaw, can you please explain what happened to you?" Bramblestar was sitting, her tail curled around her paws. "What exactly happened?"

Firestorm shifted. "When we found out that Wetstream was missing, Redfire and I decided to find out what happened to her ourselves. We didn't realize that Cleverstar was waiting for us, and we were captured easily. Then the Gathering happened, and Cleverstar went to the Gathering without Stargaze. We decided to escape that night."

Redfire took over the story. "Wetstream and I were the last to get out, so we had to loop around into ShadowClan and RiverClan territory. We were almost caught, but luckily the ShadowClan warriors understood our problem."

Bramblestar frowned. "Cleverstar is planning something. She probably wants to weaken us, then conquer us." Violetflame was watching them nearby, her heart cold and hard. I'm always left out, I'm the fourth wheel in our group.

Then Rainsplash padded over to her. "You okay, Violetflame? You look a bit down."

"I'm fine." She replied. "I'm just worried about what ThunderClan's going to do." There were many more reasons why Violetflame was angry, but she didn't mention them.

Rainsplash sighed. "At least the three sisters are back safely. And Birdpaw has returned, though I fear she will leave the Clan because she doesn't fit in anymore."

Doesn't fit in anymore... Violetflame straightened up. "Thanks for the advice, Rainsplash!" She turned and raced off, not caring what Rainsplash thought.

~

"You're asking me what it feels like to be left out." Birdpaw repeated, her eyes confused. "What for?" She mewed when Violetflame anxiously nodded.

"I need help." She mewed simply.

Birdpaw flicked her tail. "About what? I'm just an apprentice, there's not much I can offer. I'm sure your friends Firestorm or Redfire can help you instead."

"No." Violetflame growled softly. "I want help from you."

Birdpaw took a step back. "Well okay then, what is it that you want help on?" Her dark eyes pierced Violetflame's skin.

"What do you do, when you feel left out?" Violetflame asked hesitantly. "Is there anyway you can somehow fit back in?"

The she-cat stretched. "Depends on how you act, Violetflame. If you're a stubborn she-cat who refuses to accept your past, there is no way you'll fit in. If you accept your past and manage to create a new and better future for yourself, then you will fit in."

She sounds like she knows what's going on in my life... Nervousness flowed through Violetflame as she nodded to the dark gray she-cat. "Thank you for the advice."

"You never needed to ask it, Violetflame." That stopped the calico she-cat. "You had the answer in your mind all along, well at least the answer that you've been using to solve your problem."

Violetflame glared at Birdpaw. She looked over the apprentice, trying to battle the fear that was flowing in her heart. Then she mewed with self-control. "You don't know what you're walking into."

"No, no I don't."

~_~_~

Before long, Violetflame was sitting by herself, trying to socialize with the group she was familiar with. But they were discussing ThunderClan and Violetflame got up to leave.

"What do you think about the situation?" Firestorm purred, her bright amber eyes searching Violetflame's. The calico she-cat bit her lip.

"I don't know."

It was the only thing she could muster without uncovering her past, present and her future. She scurried away, hastily excusing herself from the group. She sat down her nest, curling up tightly and tried to relax. But she couldn't, her actions were her hope and she couldn't fail her next task...

But she knew that her decision would change the world. It could mean things to the cats she loved. Violetflame then heard yowling outside, and she muttered. "You have got to be kidding me..."

Chapter Eight - Hard Battles[]

Wetstream plunged into battle alongside her two sisters, Firestorm and Redfire. ThunderClan was pouring into the camp and were yowling fierce battle cries. She flattened her ears and hissed at the nearest warrior. She recognized her as Stargaze, the deputy of ThunderClan.

"You fools, thinking you could escape from ThunderClan!"

Wetstream rolled her eyes and squared her shoulders. "Well considering we have already escaped from ThunderClan, I think we have succeeded."

Stargaze bared her teeth. "You are a foolish she-cat, Wetstream. ThunderClan is the dominant Clan, and one day, whenever that is, we shall conquer all the other Clans."

The dark gray she-cat narrowed her eyes. "I don't think so; I'm going to stop you, alongside my siblings and my Clan."

"We'll see."

Wetstream lunged for Stargaze, and the two tussled on the ground. The dark gray she-cat bared her teeth and swiped at the ThunderClan deputy.

Taking a blow, Wetstream stumbled back. She ducked as Stargaze's paw came lashing out, and then tackled her to the ground. Stargaze wriggled away, and the battle went on. Wetstream pranced out, panting hard, but did not give up. Stargaze smirked and went in for a blow. Tumbling back, Wetstream struggled to get away.

Stargaze planted a paw on her chest and laughed. "You are weak, my dear friend. It will take more than this to defeat me."

Wetstream closed her eyes, and then surged forward, knocking Stargaze back. "And if you pay attention more," she hissed, "You wouldn't have to be so arrogant."

They sparred for a few more moments, then Stargaze broke away. "I have other important battles to fight, so why am I wasting my time on you?" She started to turn away, but Wetstream leaped onto her back.

"You better take your Clan and leave WindClan alone because we'll fight back, and we'll defeat you once and for all." Wetstream snarled, then released Stargaze. The ThunderClan deputy gave her a last blow, then turned to run.

Wetstream closed her eyes and regained her composture. She pivoted on her paw and lunged back into the battle. Redfire was struggling against a huge, jet black tom. Wetstream charged to tom, and rolled over as he threw her off. Together as one, Wetstream and her sister charged the tom.

His eyes widened, but he didn't back down. He smacked Redfire back, and grappled with Wetstream. The dark gray she-cat glanced backwards, and her heart lurched as she saw Redfire lying on the ground, barely breathing. While she was distracted, the black tom hurled her backwards, and she landed hard on the ground.

She struggled to get up, and saw the tom walking over to Redfire. Snarling softly, but unable to get up, she watched as Redfire was picked up by the tom. Suddenly another orange streak of fur flashed by and Firestorm rammed into the tom. He yowled and dropped Redfire.

Wetstream finally managed to get to her paws and hobbled over to Redfire, checking her breathing. Then she picked her up, and dragged her into the medicine cat's den. Brightsong looked up with her frightened, green eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"Redfire was thrown down by a ThunderClan tom. She's hurt." Wetstream hurriedly explained, and turned to hurry out.

Brightsong nodded and started to treat Redfire. "You go and fight, I'll take care of your sister." Wetstream swallowed and nodded, knowing there was a long battle ahead of them.

Charging back outside, grimly, Wetstream saw that the ThunderClan warriors were on the verge on retreating. Only Cleverstar and Stargaze were holding them back. Cleverstar was shouting orders. "Stand down! We will defeat WindClan until there is nothing left of them!" And Wetstream realized they were out to kill.

Spotting Violetflame in the crowd, huddling on the side, Wetstream bounded over to her. "Are you okay?" She jumped and flinched away.

"I'm fine."

Wetstream narrowed her eyes, and nudged her. "We have to help WindClan. Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine." She insisted. "I'll go soon. I just need to catch my breath." The dark gray she-cat cast the calico she-cat a funny look, but then nodded and headed away.

Firestorm joined Wetstream, and they battled with Silverfire and Gingerheart. The heated battle became more intense as the ThunderClan warriors clashed with the two sisters. These two warriors didn't look dangerous, but their claws and teeth were as sharp as thorns.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, WindClan drove ThunderClan back. The brown she-cat stood regal and proud, but her eyes were stormy and she whipped around, knowing she had lost the battle. "It isn't over yet, Bramblestar! ThunderClan will be back."

"And WindClan will be ready."

Chapter Nine - The Betrayal[]

The battle with WindClan taught Firestorm to be more careful. She almost lost her sister and her friend, Violetflame was reduced to a shivering feline. Firestorm sighed and leaned against Violetflame. "What's wrong?" She whispered.

Violetflame glanced at her, and nodded. "Yeah I'm fine, I was useless in the battle though."

Firestorm didn't reply. Violetflame was acting weird, but Firestorm didn't know why. Standing up, Firestorm excused herself to go see Redfire. Her sister was awake today, and staring at the ground. "Redfire?" Her sister looked up.

"Oh hi, Firestorm."

"What are you worried about?" She knew her sister well enough to know that Redfire was worried about something.

She sighed. "Well, I know Violetflame has been our friend from childhood, but..." She paused, then rushed on. "I think she's trying to betray us."

Shock coursed through Firestorm. "How do you know that?" She mewed. "Violetflame's loyal to WindClan isn't she?"

"I don't know." Redfire looked tired. "It's just my guess, and I have a feeling she's trying to do something that will harm us all."

Firestorm only nodded, and left when Redfire closed her eyes to sleep. Spotting Wetstream nearby, Firestorm trotted over to sit by her sister. "What do you think about ThunderClan's invasion? Why do you think they did it?"

Wetstream shrugged, obviously still thinking about her struggled against Stargaze. "You can't always do everything, Wetstream."

"I know, but I want to be able to do something." She mewed frustratedly. "I feel so vulnerable, and unable to help WindClan. Whenever I got captured by ThunderClan, everyone thought I was the traitor, and now I can't even prove my worth against the ThunderClan deputy!"

Firestorm sighed, "Don't be so hard on yourself, Wetstream. We're a Clan for a reason because we help one another."

"Well one of us isn't fulfilling their job." Firestorm's blood ran cold.

"What do you mean?"

Wetstream sighed. "Something's wrong. ThunderClan knew about our system, when we were most vulnerable and when we would send cats to their border. Remember how you and Redfire tried to rescue me? They knew when you were going to be there. Someone's trying to betray us."

Firestorm wanted to cry. Redfire and Wetstream were very alert, and when they predicted something, it would most likely be true. Someone was acting funny. "Is it Violetflame?"

Wetstream didn't reply. Finally, she mewed. "I don't know. She was our best friend in apprenticeship, but now as warriors, she's become silent and withdrawn."

"But do you think it's her."

"Yes."

Firestorm bit her lip. She didn't want to believe that her best friend, her friend from childhood was a traitor. "I don't know what to think."

"Then don't, all will be revealed soon, Firestorm."

~_~_~

Wetstream was right, in no time, Bramblestar had lost a life, and the traitor was standing before them. "Why?" Firestorm whispered to her. "Why did you do such a thing?"

The traitor only glanced back at her, her orange eyes blazing and angry. "Because I was left out, like an outcast. ThunderClan gave me a better chance, and I showed them my loyalty. There was no way I would allow WindClan to keep on living!"

Wetstream only stared sadly at her. "You could have adapted well in WindClan if you tried. You could have joined our ranks, but you didn't."

The cat lowered her gaze. "It is a matter of my opinion. I prefer ThunderClan over WindClan. And this is my final choice."

She lifted her paw, and one cat screamed. "No!"

The calico she-cat whipped her head around. "Who speaks."

A red she-cat padded forward, her eyes closed shut. "If you have to kill one cat in WindClan to settle this, don't kill Bramblestar."

"Then who should I kill?" Violetflame challenged.

There was a silent beat, then Wetstream closed her eyes, knowing what was going to come next. The red she-cat winced as she hobbled forward to Violetflame.

"Kill me."

Epilogue - The Last Goodbye[]

Everyone had their head bowed. Wetstream felt the tears fill her eyes as she stared down at her beloved friend. Violetflame had dug her claws into the red she-cat, not showing much mercy for a "friend" of hers. Wetstream had dreaded seeing that happen, but she had to.

And now Redfire was standing next to Wetstream, tears flowing from her eyes. "Violetflame had to didn't she? To get rid of all her hatred and anger..."

Wetstream began to weep openly. "I don't even know why she did it. They were the best of friends... She was stupid to reveal herself traitor in front of all of us."

"Well she must have known the consequences because now she's sitting in the caves waiting for her punishment." Redfire pointed out.

"To think she was our friend..."

"Wetstream, Redfire, would you two like to give an eulogy speech for our fallen hero?" Bramblestar was still struggling to stand up, but she proudly leaned on Aquasplash and spoke.

The two sisters regained their breath and nodded slowly. Together, their tails wrapped around one another, they joined their leader and their deputy on the Rock.

"She was really something, and she knew the consequences and the dangers of everything. One wrong move, she would end up somewhere else, but that would never bother her. She was the greatest of our heroes, and she saved our leader from a fatal death. To think that this would have happened to her..." Wetstream bowed her head.

"But there was more. She and Redfire didn't give up when everyone thought I had betrayed WindClan for ThunderClan. She was brave enough to charge forth, aware of the danger she was going to put herself into. I admire her for that.

"Without her, WindClan would probably be gone right now, and none of us would be standing here today. She truly knew what her goal in life was, even when she was a kit. She was someone I will never forget."

Redfire stepped forward. "I never knew a better cat then her. She was someone I had loved and admired, and she was the one and only cat I would want as my sister, other than Wetstream of course. She died the death of a hero, and I will never forget her.

"She shall live on in our memories, in us. I may not resemble her much in my green eyes, but at least my fur has a slight touch of orange and yellow like hers. Her name shall be repeated in history, and may StarClan light her path."

Stormheart stepped forward. "She was a wonderful daughter, and I couldn't have asked for more. She.." The queen seemed to break down a bit. "She was, I think, the only one of us that knew what she was going to do."

"Let us all pay tribute to her!"

"To her!" Chanted Redfire.

Wetstream only smiled and yowled.

"To Firestorm!"

The End. Hope you liked it! Yes I died :c Comment please <3
