Hey Fuzzy! :) It's Nighty here! I really hope that you see that you see this, but if not, that's okay, just remember that I'll always be thinking of you. <3

Until Dawn

"Race you to the Hawk Pine, Fuzzypaw!"

"You're on, Nightpaw!"

We lined up behind the dirt line I had scratched into the dirt hastily, Crouching down, I watched as Fuzzypaw did the same, shooting me a smirk. I looked at her, and she looked back at me.

"Three...two...one...go!"

The gray she-cat sprang ahead, her powerful back legs propelling her forward. "Hey! You got a head start!" I cried, straining to catch up to her. But by the time I was at her side she had already run halfway up the Hawk Pine and was looking down at me slyly.

"Maybe you're just slow!" she called back down to me. I flattened my ears and started to climb the tree. Finally, I leapt up to Fuzzypaw's limb and swiped at her playfully. She crouched down and leaped to a limb below us. With a playfull snarl, I followed her and we chased each other around the tree. Finally, we stopped and climbed down, breathing heavily.

Fuzzypaw stared up at the huge, full moon peeking between the gaps in the pines. We had snuck out of camp while Aquapaw, Rainypaw, Mistypaw, and all the other apprentices slept like boring old cats.

I looked up at the bright moon with Fuzzypaw, sitting back on my haunches so I could get a better view. The gray she-cat was lost in thought when I prodded her in the side. She glared at me in friendly anger. "Hey!" Fuzzypaw mewed, rubbing her side with a paw. I purred in amusement, and remembered what I was about to tell her. My face grew serious.

"Fuzzypaw?"

"Yeah?"

"I have something kinda important to tell you."

She looked at me with rapt attention. "Yeah. Go ahead."

I looked down, at the moon, and then back at her. "I just want you to know that, if tonight is the last time we ever see eachother, you're my best friend." I rubbed her back with my tail gently.

She smiled. "You're my best friend too. I'm glad we could have tonight without those other mousebrained apprentices around."

We started doing silly impressions of everyone else and collapsed into a fit of laughter, officially ending our serious moment. Fuzzypaw as truly my best friend--and that was a fact that couldn't be changed.

Dear Fuzzy:

We've been through lots of times together. We've had tons of fun on chat, cried like babies over the same stories, and overall been together through it all. Let's make a deal--if I don't forget you, you don't forget me. :)
