Frozen Leaves is a book written by Tsunamitheseawing. This takes place a decade after human extinction (Idk the technology at that time so the landscape will be our current world), and takes place during an ice age. A young she-cat crouched over her kits, purring. A black cat beside her watched with pride, before doubling back with surprise. “Poolbright, you had four! Yet only three came out?”
Poolbright looked shocked. “Am I not done kitting?”
“You are done kitting.”
“Then it was likely an illusion, Ashbriar.”
At once, Ashbriair fell forward into the nursery floor. But just before his head hit this the ground, he fell through it and into water. He tried to swim upward, but his head hit ice. Ice. A voice rang in his ears, his greatest friend or his greatest enemy. “Four borne to ice… four elements to command… six great evils… and the death of all Clans with failure. It is time, Ashbriar….”
His head snapped out of the water, and back into the nursery. “I know where the last kit is!” he gasped. “Come with me!”
The two cats rushed out to the lake, and the queen gasped when she saw four tiny kits in the water.
Meanwhile, under the ice, a tiny kit was shaking. Her green pelt felt cold. Real cold. She was aware of three other kits with her. She reached out to the sand on top of the ice…
Ashbrair looked on in awe as a giant stream of sand broke the ice. Four tiny shapes sltihered out. “My kit!” The shout came from behind him. Poolbright ran onto the ice and grabbed her kit. She rushed back and laid the tiny shape at his paws. Ashbrair started to lick the tiny thing, and when he finished, the two ran back to camp. The new kit ran to join its littermates. They all ran to suckle. “My kits!” Ashbrair looked on, wishing he could share the same excitement. This might be the end of it all…..
Chapter 1
“...Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Kestrelpaw…”
Kestrelpaw could barely contain her excitement. It was time!
“From this moment on you will be known as Kestreldrop. StarClan honors your courage and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan.”
Starlingstar leaped down from Highledge, and rested her muzzle on the new warrior. Kestreldrop returned the kind gesture with a lick on the shoulder.
“Kestreldrop! Kestreldrop! Ketreldrop!”
The customary cheer rang through the clearing. After it finished, the leader said, “Metting dismissed.”
The new warrior wove through the camp, acnoldging the congratalatons and padding over to her old mentor, Haybird. “What now?”
“You gaurd the camp in silence until morning. Then, the Gathering will be tomorrow, so you will be joining us.”
Kestreldrop nodded in agreement. She saw the sun head down. She curled her tail around herself, and started her vigil.
