you are trapped in a cage

no one sees it... not even you...

you don't know what it's made from

you don't even know where it came from

but you feel it... it's all around you...

North MountainClan was panicking.

Not just because South MountainClan was planning to attack, nor because there was a group of badgers on their territory(which, if you ask Willowshade were both perfectly good reasons) - no, they were panicking because Secret was coming to camp.

Sure, Willowshade hated him, but she didn't fear him. She planned on storming right up to him and demanding for her brother; but Frostleaf, on the other hand, was deceiving and planned to ask to come back with him.

Icestar thought the new warriors were insane.

"Get it together, MountainClan!" shrieked Willowshade.

"Secret's nothing to be afraid of!" added Frostleaf.

Okay, maybe it wasn't just Icestar who thought they were crazy. The Clan did not stop.

"Idiots," muttered Willowshade under her breath- the two sisters/new warriors/best friends stormed up the cave path leading out of North MountainClan camp. The camp was just a extremely large cave(large enough for at most two Clans to race around), quite boring compared to the gorge of South MountainClan's one.

But of course with Willowshade's rotten luck, and Frostleaf's tendency to get into trouble, they ran into Secret.

"Oh, hello- back from a border patrol?" Willowshade asked, not recognizing Secret.

"That's Secret, you idiot," whispered Frostleaf.

"Yes, you pretty idiot," added Secret teasingly/flirtingly. Willowshade used all of her willpower not to hiss at him.

So she snarled at him instead.

"Feisty, aren't you?" Secret noted, twitching his whiskers. His extreme arrogance really made Willowshade want to slash her claws in his face, and the rain began to drizzle down on the cats.

"Shut up," Frostleaf breathed in Willowshade's ear, then added, "How did you come up with your serum, Secret? I think it's brilliant." Frostleaf did think it was brilliant, but with a terrible cause.

"Do you?" Secret's amber eyes blazed into Frostleaf, "Yes, I think you do. I cannot trust you with this information."

Frostleaf gazed into his large amber eyes and his fluffy black and brown speckled pelt seemed to stay perfectly dry during the rain. Secret wasn't exactly mooning over her.

But she could be useful.

"I like this one," Secret decided, "But leave the other."

"What- no! Frostleaf!" Willowshade yowled.

"I'm sorry, but I have to do this," Frostleaf whispered to her, and left without protest.

"Take me instead!" Willowshade shouted, but Frostleaf seemed to glide away.

Because she wasn't moving.

"S-she's gone," Willowshade muttered, as her mother comforted her. Icestar's blue eyes bore into Willowshade.

"Who?" Icestar asked quietly, his tail flicking back and forth.

"You're a terrible father!" Willowshade sobbed, and her mother, Hawksong glared at him.

"Your daughter, Frostleaf is gone."
