Two cats,

One destiny,

Both will have to work together to find their path.

Prologue

Frostfall was arranging the herbs in his den, while his apprentice, Dustpaw, was gently rest after a long day of hard work. Frostfall was carefully identifing every little detail about every herb he inspected. He was very careful to make sure that every herb went into it's own little pile. From Alder Bark, to Water Hemlock, all of the herbs possible to find in the RiverClan territory were there.

After he finished his work, Frostfall limped his way back to his bedding and layed down on the fresh, wet moss. The apprentices had recently changed his moss bedding earlier this morning. He let the moss gently clamp onto his fur, it felt rather refreshing to him. Frostfall then closed his almost-glowing green eyes and quickly fell asleep.

Frostfall's head jerked up when he heard a loud thudding noise. His eyes full of fear of what might happen. He raced to his paws and observed his surroundings. Since he had just woken up, his vision was rather blurry. When Frostfall's vision cleared out, he could small stars twinkling in the distance, he suddenly knew where he was.

"I'm in StarClan..." Frostfall whispered to himself,"I wonder what's wrong this time." He mumbled some more to himself, until he heard a slight giggling noise.

"Who's there?" He asked, rather loudly. He felt a cold chill down his spine, his long, white tail stood straight up.

"It's me," said a familiar voice to Frostfall,"remember, Frostpaw?"

Frostfall turned around and saw his old mentor, Petalfur. He then, rudely barked,"Don't call me Frostpaw!"

"Calm down, Frostfall, I was just messing around with you!" Petalfur said with a laugh.

"So, why did you bring me here?" Asked Frostfall, rather in a change of tone.

"Oh, so you want to get straight buisness, come on, have some fun. Why can't you just be a bit happier?" Asked Petalfur, not knowing what she was getting into.

Frostfall became enraged,"Look, all I want to know is for what reason did you bring me up here?"

"Fine,"said Petalfur angrily,"I brought you here to alert you to a new prophecy from StarClan."

"What is this propehcy?," Puzzled Frostfall, rather intrigued.

"Here it is," Breathed Petalfur, helping herself calm down,"Two birds of one stone shall help save RiverClan." Frostfall pondered what this prophecy could mean.

"I must leave now, StarClan wishes you the best for RiverClan." Sighed Petalfur, she moved her tail sadly from side to side.

"Thank you, Petalfur." Frostfall nodded his head and closed his eyes. He awoke to see Dustpaw's amber eyes beaming at him.

"Are you okay, Frostfall? " Asked Dustpaw,"I noticed you were shaking last night, you look a bit frightened right now, is everything alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine, Dustpaw. I just need to tell Breezestar something very important." Said Frostfall, slowly getting to his paws.

"Is it a prophecy?" Wondered Dustpaw, her large amber eyes staring at Frostfall.

"Actually, yes, it is a prophecy."

"Is it the same one I recieved last night?"

"I don't know, tell me what prophecy you recieved."

"Two birds of one-"

"Shh, keep quiet. Quickly, let's tell Breezestar."

The two quickly scurried out of the medicine cat's den. Dustpaw came in the lead, since Frostfall had to limp all the way to the leader's den.

Their bodies casted long shadows into the den, Breezestar then yelled,"Who is it?" in an agressive tone.

"It's me, Frostfall."

"Come in."

Frostfall limped himself quickly into the den, Dustpaw slowly fell behind.

"What is so important?"

"Dustpaw, you explain." Said Frostfall while he gently nudged her.

"Um, uh..." Dustpaw mumbled, shyly.

"What are you saying, Dustpaw?" Growled Breezestar.

Dustpaw slowly breathed in and out, her breaths slowly calmed her down. She then proudly explained what happened, she felt very confident after she finished explaining.

For a while afterward, there was slience in the den. No one spoke, not a peep from anyone one of them, until Breezestar finally said,"What does it mean?"

"I don't know, nor does Dustpaw." Frostfall sighed, Dustpaw nodded in agreement.

"We must find out." Barked Breezestar, slamming his paw against the ground.

Chapter 1

Serveral moons later, Eaglefeather was giving birth to her new kits. Now that Frostfall had sadly passed due to greencough, Dustpaw, now Dustclaw, was trying her best to assist to her needs in any way she can. However, her efforts were proven to be rather unhelpful as Specklefur was growing weaker and weaker every second. Her shallow breaths became more desperate for fresh air.

After a long battle, two kits are born. Two toms, one black and other brown, are tended to by the other queens in the nursery. However, their mother isn't as fortunate. She seemed to have been getting better after her kits were born, but her health made a sharp turn for the worse. Her mate, Rockypelt, came to check on her, and he found Eaglefeather horribly sick. Dustclaw had then realized that she had given her the wrong berries! She gave her some medicine and hoped for the best. However, it was too late, and Eaglefeather had passed on.

Tears were beginning to well up in Rockypelt's eyes as he looked at his dead mate.

"No," he sobbed,"this can't be real."

"I'm so sorry," Dustclaw whispered into Rockypelt's ear.

"I don't give a fox dung if you're sorry! You killed my mate." He said through his teeth, trying to hold himself back from screaming.

"It was an accident! I wasn't trying to hurt her! I swear!" Dustclaw exclaimed, with a tone of sadness in her voice.

Rockypelt then gave Dustclaw a cold glare. He then slowly padded over to his kits.

The black tom had opened his eyes to revel cute, little dark brown eyes. His father stared at him blankly. He couldn't really notice any similarities between him and his parents. The brown was now opening his eyes. They were a beautiful sea blue and were rather shiny, too. His father chuckled as he realized that his son closely resembled himself.

The two kits sat then looked at eachother, they were mystified by this world unknown to them. They then both turned to their father, who was now staring at the ground and mourning for his dead mate. They were both extremely confused. However, at this point, everyone in the den was confused.

"I'm extremely sorry for what happened to Eaglefeather." Apologized Frogleg, for she was a friend of his.

"There is no need to aplogize, it wasn't your fault." Coldly replied Rockypelt, his gaze dead set on Dustclaw as she left the den.
